Regardless of early rumors that hinted at a doable R-rating, Matt Reeve’s “The Batman” is arriving in film theaters with the anticipated PG-13 ranking. However whereas the movie has been cleared for audiences 13 and above, that does not imply that the film would not delve into some terribly darkish locations. Paul Dano’s Riddler particularly is nearer to the zodiac killer than the goofy, riddle-loving jokester of the animated collection. And whereas the Riddler does some fairly unsavory issues to varied Gothamites within the new movie, one scene particularly has left audiences feeling squemish. That is the Riddler scene in “The Batman” that went too far.

  1. I have no complaints towards this version of riddler, it's like saying how some people hated the joker in the dark knight movie but he ended up becoming a legend that people all loved. Like joker would state many times 'insanity is like gravity, all it takes is a little push' don't get me wrong, I grew up with the goofy version of riddler and he will always be my favorite but this one is so much more real. Showing that just because some villains in the bat-univers may seem ridiculous doesn't mean they won't do outlandish things to others in order to prove a point to the world

  2. I heard a thing about an old fashioned torture technique. You’d strap someone down and buy a bucket of rats on their stomach and heat it up so the rats would have to maw through you to survive

  3. I was gonna be like "you find this horrifying? This goes too far? You people are too sensitive" but then I realized I've said this many times before about other things, so now I'm starting to think maybe in reality I'm the problem and theres something wrong with me and not everyone else haha 😅 I need to get me some help

  4. Much like Se7en, or the chainsaw scene in Scarface, you don't see anything…but you hear the details, and it's all presented so well that it becomes unnerving.

But no, this wasn't going too far…especially when you compare it to the gruesome, on screen violence in the new Dr Strange (which I was good with btw). Both characters and their worlds are at their best when they lean into horror/thriller territory.

  5. Then the audience members in question should only watch superhero movies like spiderman exclusively aimed at kids if that's going too far. Literally points out it barley shows anything and still says it went too far. Wtf is wrong with people and why are they so pathetic?
