I'm confirming there are other Superheroes in this new batman universe and here's my theory why. As we learned from 2020 a lot could happen in a whole year. In regards to Superheroes, look no further to the MCU timeline. As flimsy as it can get the MCU timeline had put everything in place to set up the Avengers. Tony Stark became Ironman exactly in 2008, but in 2005 of the MCU timeline, Bruce banner was already in canon as the hulk being hunted by the military. Even Black Widow and Hawkeye have been kicking it with shield for almost a Decade. The incredible Hulk movie is set 5 years after his accident placing the events of that film in 2010. It's in the same chronology as the events of Ironman 2 and the First Thor movie, a year later in 2011 shield thaws Captain America. Then in 2012 we have the Avengers. How this applies to Batman goes like this. Based on reports this version of Batman has been operating for at least 2 to 3 years. At that point he's already tight with the GCPD and Gordon but he's still new to the Game. Maybe in late year 1 or early months of year 2 other Superheroes started popping up. And as we know our culture once something big is trending Early in the year, you can guarantee there's gonna be Halloween costumes. So Superman could exist and Batman didn't meet him yet and Wonder Woman is immortal so she can come in any time she wants. But we can do something different and have her going on secret missions with Steven Trevor in the modern day, Black Widow and Hawkeye style. And if DC decides to clean house and start from scratch this would be the best way to do it.
People these are halloween costume. No fuss needed to be made here

This is a movie that was supposed to come out next year and is now pushed to another year and have barely filmed anything on top of already having a trailer out. It does not look good for them…… they need to swing headlines, make Rob look like a simp, throw a fucking Superman cosplay to gain attention. They need people to remember this film when it comes out and not just wash out of their brains like fucking New Mutants. They need the attention. It’s not goddamn brain surgery.
What if there’s no other superheroes in this universe except for in comics, and that’s actually what Martha and Thomas Wayne are wearing when they get shot. And they aren’t leaving a theatre they’re leaving a costume party on Halloween.
I would say that if it legitimately MEANS anything at all… I'd speculate that since this is an "elseworlds" sort of movie, maybe this places it in the comic book world where the Christopher Reeve Superman existed (not his movie, but the character himself) and the Linda Carter Wonder Woman. Or at least those older last century characters were those heroes of this world, even if not featured exactly as they were in the movies from our world*.
Maybe in this world, superman and wonder woman saved the day decades ago. So that when Battenson gets pulled into the world of the DCEU (hopefully so, after his trilogy is done) he'll be familiar with who they are, but will not have had the chance to fight alongside them yet.
You just overcomplicated everything. It's just some people wearing costumes during halloween.
Now this is interesting because it's either a sign that Superman and Wonder Woman are already established in this universe and that the Robert Pattinson Batman may meet them at some point in the future or it is just a fun Halloween Easter egg that doesn't mean much and that they only exist as comic book characters in this universe and quite frankly, after how botched the original Justice League movie had been, I somehow think that we may not see the Justice League come together again for a long while.
In regards to the "Are WW and Superman real in this universe, and are they Henry and Gal?"
I see WB saying "yes."

I think superman and batman exist in this reality. Maybe they were in the justice society in the 40's and 50's….given that both superman and wonder woman are kind of immortal…they could have been active in the 30's and 40's and still be youthfull and vibrant in 2020! And because of this longevity..they have become part of the pop culture…so these guys dress up as them for hubbie halloween
or it can be a big publicity stunt, which seems to be working
The Batman is not part of the DCEU. Multiverse? Sure. But not the Henry Cavill one. I mean c'mon. Next thing you'll say the guy in green is Green Lantern.

I think Wonder Woman and Superman really exist, but no one really knows about them. Only the people they rescue, kind of like Big foot and UFOs. Like folklore, it may not be the Henry and Gal versions, but they do have their own versions of those heroes. Remember at Fandome, DC is really embracing the multiverse in their movies and shows going forward.
The movie is heavily rumored to be inspired by The Long Halloween graphic novel. I’d bet they are just civilian extras or goons dressed up as Superman and Wonder Woman for a ritzy Halloween Party scene, and in this universe, Wonder Woman and Superman being real or fictional won’t be directly addressed in the film.
People in UK love dressing up, I think these are just folks from Liverpool dressing up and coming to see the shooting of The Batman.

A newspaper prop from the film's set mentions Metropolis by name and alludes to Superman in an article quite heavily. These characters exist in this universe. Which is good. It means that in future installments they can embrace some of the more 'fantastical' elements of Batman like: Joker having fallen into a vat of chemicals, Mr Freeze, Clayface, Man-Bat, the Lazarus Pit etc etc
Superman does exist in Metropolis. There's a Gotham newspaper clipping from the set where a reporter rights a story about a bunch of kids in a bus pointing at "you know who" so we know at least Superman exists in this Batman universe. And it's fucking AWESOME!!
