It’s the biggest and best advertisement for a Disney property in the history of Universal!

  1. And now not only is there Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout at California Adventure, but Disney World is getting its own Guardians of the Galaxy ride at Epcot. Yay for Guardians of the Galaxy being too obscure for Universal to factor into their Marvel contract at the time! And of course California Adventure is set to get its own full-fledged Marvel land in a few years, thanks to Universal only having the theme park rights on the East Coast, though Disney still can't use the Marvel name itself.

  2. I just noticed something. The superheroes aren't patrolling on quads, they're on some sort of tri wheel thingymajig! You ruined everything Ganssle! And get me more pictures of Spiderman!

  3. I wonder what peter parker's job will be when print truly kicks the bucket? I've seen a post on tumblr saying Clark Kent should get a job at something like Buzzfeed (the top10 People Who Definitely Aren't Superman!) so maybe that's where Parker'll go

  4. 2:36, wait a sec. Rodger Bumpass as ANOTHER tortured cephalopod-esque character who hates the main star… and he's working with Bill Fagerbakke? Did the crew making this ride PURPOSELY do that? Were they just like:
Producer: Hey, Rodger, so we know you're booked with the Sponge and all but we've got ANOTHER animated voice for you to play! And it's completely different than that Squidward Tentpoles!
    Rodger: Alright! What is it?
P: You'll be playing an antagonist to the main character!
    R: confused But-
    P: It's Spider-Man villain Dr. Octopus!
R: He he has many legs-
P: pulls Bill in And here's who you'll be working with.
    Bill: laughs like Patrick
R: gives an exasperated and depressed look exactly like Squidward does, knowing he'll be stuck in that sort of role forever… which he sort of is

  5. Given there are rumors that Universal and Disney are in talks regarding the use of Marvel characters (apparently a swap between the two companies), and Universal apparently got the rights to Nintendo products, I think it's fair to say that it's possible that Marvel's Super Hero Island could get replaced by a new Nintendo themed land.  Like you said, most of the rides and buildings would just require a bit of new paint and modifications.
