  1. Batman in Young Justice is probably the most emotionally and interpersonal intelligent Batman I've seen. (Wayne Family Adventures also shows a good portrayal of Bruce's paternal side.) It's also a great show, the first two seasons being the best, that shows different aspects of the characters, and them coming into their own. Batman pulls Superman aside to talk about how he's treating Superboy (Conner), and it's a great scene. YJ Bat is defo in top 3 character wise.

This moment here, where Batman grabs Damian, and takes the blow from the fall. He does care for him, even if he isn’t open about it.

Throughout that whole fight, you can see Batman isn’t giving it his all. It’s honestly pretty neat to analyze!

  3. Batman doesn't view his children as soldiers.

He does this so that when he is gone they dont lose direction.

When dick died in injustice 2 it almost happened to Bruce….. He was all alone again without his son in the world to walk beside him anymore, but he pulled thru

  4. I honestly feel really bad for Jason, even after all the stuff he had to go through his happiest memory is still just him and his father at home even if their relationship is strained now

  5. We really need more stories like these. Batman is a good father who values his family more than himself. I wish we'd get to see them all have a good time, the whole family.

  6. Batman's choice to bring underage kids along to fight crime can be somewhat excused by the fact Robin really exists so that kids can imagine that they, too, could be superheroes. At least, the WB insisted on including him in every episode after he entered the scene in the animated series for that reason.

I can get on board with a Batman who just initially doesn't see a problem with it because of his own messed up childhood. He might even think of it as giving the kid a special treat*, by bringing him along for the important work he does, showing that he trusts Robin and respects his abilities as a fighter. He might be somewhat desensitized to danger and not really get a wake up call until the first time Joker kidnaps a Robin. Continuing to draft little kids into the role AFTER that makes no goddamn sense, though.

*This comparison brought to you by me sharing horror stories with kids, thinking I was giving them a special treat by letting them in on content usually reserved for adults. It didn't hit me until later that it might not have had the intended effect. So I figure Batman, who in some canons learns to fight in childhood, might see it as a positive or even bonding experience at first.

  7. Batman does actually care for the Robins he respects dick for being nightwing he respects Tim as Red Robin and he is very protective of them one goes missing he’ll find them and if anyone one hurts them he hunts that person down and he won’t let Jason be on the suicide squad even and he is very proud of them all he really does love them as they are his sons and to let people know who say he isn’t a family man he is he’ll drop something if it isn’t important to be there for them seriously people read the comics they actually show Bruce’s family side really good

  8. Jason was his greatest friend out of all the robins
    Tim was the smartest
Dick was the best jn morals and actual goodness
Damien was the most skilled (having trained by assassins all his life and being raised by flipping Batman)

  9. My favorite part was probably in apokolips war when damien sacrificed himself to save Batman from dark sied and Damien admitted he was grateful that Batman showed him the right ways and Batman actually acknowledged him as “son” and he started crying over damien s death

  10. Batman as a father is screwed simply because the canon is so long and extensive made by authors who disagree with each other, so he's simultaneously a wonderful loving father and a horrible dad

  11. I think my favorite is between when he stays home to spend time with Jason, and when he dons the Hellbat Suit to bring Damien’s body from Apokolips, having to duke it out with Darkseid in the process, and winning. Only for Damien to be resurrected and have powers for some time lol
