  14. I like the idea that Jim knows Bruce is Batman and Batman is ok Jim knows. Bruce sees Jim as a father figure, the man risking it all to help make Gotham better. And not needing a cape to do it helping the people of Gotham like his dad would. And Jim covering for Batman because he understands the loss Bruce went through, so as a father he understands why Bruce does what he does. And with all the corruption Jim sees even within his own squad, he sees Bruce as one of the good ones. Someone he fully trusts the city with.

So it’s James Gordon Sr. And Barbara Kean Gordon Sr.’s son who got saved by Batman not his daughter, so that means James Gordon Jr.’s older than his younger sister, Barbara Kathleen Joan Gordon Jr. aka Batgirl (I don’t know what her middle name is cause there are two different middle names for Babs so I just decided to put them together in the same name, no hates please) Also I don’t know if Lieutenant Gordon did figure out Batman’s secret identity cause he can’t see anything without his glasses and everything is blurry and besides Bats was facing the sun and had mud on his face so Jim Gordon couldn’t figure it out… it’s confirmed in the sequels (Batman: The Long Halloween And Batman: The Killing Joke But Probably Not So Much In The Dark Knight Returns) that he doesn’t know but probably came to that conclusion sometime and somehow after the next two movies. I may be wrong but still. Well there may have been different voice actors in those other three different stories so it makes it hard to believe that they are from the same universe and continuity, but they are, believe me… I may be wrong but still.

  30. For those wondering why Bruce fell faster, in the comic he climbs the bridge so that he can push off the underside of the top beam with his diesel legs and accelerate to catch the baby. He isn't defying the laws of physics here, just got an extra acceleration boost.
