  3. I actually did both a disappearing and appearing act at the same time today at my coworker's birthday party in a room full of people. We were waiting in a dark room with the cake, the door couldn't be closed from inside, so I figured I should do it. When I go out of the room and close the door, my coworker is coming my way and me and her boyfriend improvise a excuse to make her go into the room. She enters, I enter behind her and her bf sing happy birthday and leave through the door again. Some people later asked me why I left before the surprise. Others talked to me like I was there when they were cutting the cake and would even swear I never left the room in the first place. It's kinda funny how much misdirection actually works IRL

    PD: The funniest part is that the moment I left the room for the second time was actually recorded lol

  12. Hoenslty I would'nt be surprised if batman start every conversation with Gordon with a tow line already setup. Once he sees an opportunity he just dives off the building tow line attached

  13. Before I fully get into the video, I'd like to mention that it's not how fast Batman disappears that's questionable for me. Speed alone, I fully believe he, and probably anyone could disappear with only a couple seconds if you're aware of your environment enough to escape someone's line of sight. The part that's hard to believe for me is being able to move quietly while doing that.

  15. I've never believed that Batman is just hiding, I think he is completely leaving in such a stealthy or unexpected way (jumping off roofs, using his gadgets) that the person didn't notice. I also enjoy believing he isn't doing it to be dramatic, he is just done with the convo and leaves immediately while the other person is still catching up.

  18. Now keep in mind folks, Bruce has lived in Gotham his entire life so he most likely knows every hiding spot in every corner in the city. He wears pitch black armor in the literal darkest city in the world. He has technology beyond anything we can imagine. He also dedicated a decade or more of his life to martial arts and stealth.

  22. It's all about multiple corners. Man I wish I was there for you buddy. I have perfected this technique. You don't think Batman thinks of these things in advance? That and not caring about the other person's contribution to the conversation helps. 😆

  25. First, everybody misses the 2 tricks Batman uses to disappear. If he dives over a balcony headed down he would use his grappling gun to shoot and latch onto a distant structure, using the motors in the gun to slow and brake his decent. Similarly latching a overhead support he can use it to rapidly scale great heights.
    Secondly, you guys weren't suspicious, or methodical, enough. If a person i was speaking to a second ago had disappeared, i would immediately suspect a trick or practical joke and rapidly but thoroughly search the are till I found the culprit.

    I was preparing food, turned my back on her and explained what i am doing. When i turned back, she was gone and i had to laugh as i realized i got batman'd.

  34. Man, now that I know how it works, maybe I can figure out how to stop doing it by accident all the time lmao

    Plus, the idea is that Batman is so hypervigilant, he’s noticed a dozen viable exits you’ve never even considered, and so mobile that he can get to them in a single grapple. So while it would take normies like Commissioner Gordon 10 minutes to walk out the front door, Batman’s zipped up to a vent or window three storeys up. Shortest distance between two points.

  39. 2:11 – I’ll have watch the movies again to see if Bruce ever tries this again on Jim after this scene. He was looking pretty much right at him and gave it away for the sake of doing it to Harvey.
