Batman the Film, developed and printed by Ocean for the Commodore 64 in 1989.

“BATMAN is a shadow within the darkness, as elusive as a dream. Excessive above the seamy streets of GOTHAM, he’s a legal’s nightmare. The one hope for a determined Metropolis … BATMAN”

Based mostly on the film of the identical title, you play via 5 themed ranges to beat the sport. Some good music on this one. I let the title display screen play out earlier than beginning. I deliberately drag out degree three with a purpose to hear its music in full. This was transformed to all of the eight and 16 bit dwelling computer systems of the time and it is one of many few video games that got here out alright on all of them.

  1. Watched this being played at a friends 10th birthday party in 1990…wanted to play it so bad but the birthday boy wouldn’t give anyone else a shot!!! Fun watching it now.

  2. I remember a Batman game (from aeons ago), classic platformer like this one, where you punched boxes (with inscriptions α, β, γ) in certain combinations to get different power-ups. I had a demo where the last boss was a huge ninja (sort of, my memory is fading there) in the sewers (?). I can't tell which console though but it was for those yellow cartridges. Does it sound familiar to anyone?

  3. Bah this console has the worst graphics, like LJN Ocean made the worst games. They suck. I mean it's 64. That mean it's 64bit! Even Jaguar is better than this, ignorant whine whine whine… (goes back to play Fortnite or watch ignorant American young millennial YouTuber).
