  1. Ten years ago it may have been a step down. Now a days it’s not uncommon to see big name actors in high profile series. Jason Bateman / Ozark on Netflix is a good example.

  2. yes plz. absolutely loved him as Bruce Wayne!!! He added charisma and charm to that character. Just like he is from the animated series!!! The Holy Grail of Batman. I really hope he comes back to do more batman stuff.

  3. I wouldn't call it a step-down for Ben or any other movie star to do a Netflix or HBOmax series. I say that because where we are now, a lot of movie theaters prob won't survive this pandemic, we have now witnessed big movies being released via on-demand and so it seems the business model for movies, directors, and actors have taken a major turn.

  4. Please let this be True. Ben Affleck is the greatest Batman of all time. He makes Michael Keaton and Christian Bale look like boy scouts. Makes Adam West look like a school girl. Makes Val Kilmer and George Clooney like girl scouts. Ben Affleck is Dark Knight Returns Batman and Arkham asylum game Batman combined. Was reborn into live action. Adam West, Michael Keaton and Christian Bale fought their Jokers. I think it's Ben Affleck's turn.

  5. Bring him back !!!!!!!! He was the best Batman and best bat costume ! The story needed to continue. Yes TDK trilogy is epic but Affleck was real comic Batman!!! Batman is big enough to have 2 versions going at the same time. Old and young.

  6. More of Ben Affleck as Batman is a good thing for me. Especially if they were to allow him to do the script he originally wanted to do and not mess with it at all. I think that could be something truly special. We already get more new content from all of the characters next year so I'm already extent it enough. All these little teases about Ben Affleck coming back especially from HBO Max and their tweet is a tease that makes it feel like it's too good to be true. Fingers crossed and hope for the best

  7. It's been confirmed by both Snyder and Joe Manganielo that at the end part of the Snydercut, Deathstroke will be revealed and a possible confrontation with Batman.

Now here's the million $ question: What is the point for AT&T & WB giving the go-signal for a film with a finale teaser, and not come up with a planned followup sequel?

Any smart people out there who tries to contest this, id be happy to read….& you're welcome.

  8. I enjoyed Affleck’s performance, and his Batsuit was perfect in BvS. I think an HBO Max series is a great idea. Hopefully, it would tone down the CGI and ratchet up the drama and detective elements. It would make for a great cat and mouse battle of wits with Deathstroke. We know this formula can work because of Netflix’s Daredevil and The Punisher. We’d be seeing a new-to-screen villain. The show will need Simmons as Gordon. I would love it if they were to recast Alfred with my hero Timothy Dalton. If content generators are out there, please make it so!

  9. my nerd dreams realized…and if they continue the snyder series as a hob max series for what was supposed to be JL 2/ 3 /5 etc…. wow. but I don't think its likely. that said, if they let batman make his own story…then why wouldn't he? streaming isn't a lesser form these days…just an outlet for a different creativity that can't fit in a movie.

  10. What would they do with a Batman tv series? Are you serious? I don’t see the down side of this. Obi Wan will be getting a six series episode as well, so why not Batman.

  11. I believe and think that it's TRUE because ever since new and first female CEO and President of Warner Bros., Ms. Ann Sarnoff has been in charge of Warner Bros., and since AT&T now owns Warner Bros., EVERYTHING has been green lit to be completed and released as originally intended: Zack and Deborah Snyder's Justice League, them being able to complete their originally intended 5 to 7 movie arc vision in live action in and for their originally intended DCEU, David Ayer's originally intended suicide squad, and Ben Affleck's solo Batman movie with his originally intended script that he wrote, facing off against Joe Manganiello's death stroke.

Ben Affleck is very close and good friends with Zack Snyder, and has told him he would help in whatever he needs.

Ben Affleck looked in GREAT shape during and for production and in his movie, The Way Back.

Affleck looked in Batman shape, and there were some rumblings about him being back as Zack Snyder's DCEU Batman.

Whether or not HBO MAX does a Ben Affleck Batman series, I don't see it as a step down at all, only more content, and it's been said that HBO MAX would offer blockbuster movie style content, original movies, series, etc.

At the very least, we should be getting Ben Affleck's solo Batman movie with his originally intended script in theaters.

It's possible filming has already begun, perhaps already completed but they're simply keeping it under the non-disclosure act(NDA) for the time being.

I believe and think that as long as Zack Snyder and Ben Affleck are in control of their DCEU Batman character, Ben Affleck is MOST CERTAINLY on board. That would and most certainly does make sense.

Ben Affleck starred in Triple Frontier, an original Netflix movie, and I think Zack Snyder's Army of the Dead is an original Netflix movie.

Perhaps HBO MAX and Netflix are teaming up with AT&T and Warner Bros???!!!!

I'm saying that because Ben Affleck starred in Netflix's Triple Frontier with several other GREAT actors, and Director Zack Snyder's Army of the Dead is a Netflix movie.

I DO NOT think it's a step down at all. I think it's a VERY SMART MOVE, a kind of psyop, if you will, telling Warner Bros., "FINE, you want to continue interfering with our originally intended vision and work, we'll go direct movies and star in movies for the streaming services!!!!" "They'll let us film what we want WITHOUT any interference!!!!"

That's not to say they won't be in or direct any more Warner Bros. movies, because they will!!!!

I think TRUST is being repaired and restored now because of Ms. Ann Sarnoff and AT&T, and Zack Snyder and Ben Affleck will continue making movie for Warner Bros. while also for HBO MAX and Netflix.

  12. Definitely want him back playing the role. Have no interest in Pattinson’s Batman. Dude should’ve been hired to play Scarecrow. Doesn’t have to work out for that role

  13. Well a live action Batman TV series would be a huge thing considering the last one was with the Adam West in the 1960's. SInce then WB pretty much considered it a no no and reserving the character solely for the big screen hence we got "Birds of Prey" 20 years ago, then Gotham and recently Batwoman as an erzatz for the actual Batman series. But since AT&T took over and they have a vested interest in kick starting their new streaming platform adapting the original Aflleck script as a series would make sense considering they are willing to fork up 70 million USD for the one off Snyder JL version. A multi season Batman series with Aflleck would be a huge hit with a potential to create a stable subscriber base.

  14. I don't think he will be returning to play the Character Again BEYOND Reshoots.

If it is a Series, well… A Lot of Actors are moving to Movie Quality streaming Shows/series. It's the ULTIMATE in Long Form story telling.
For instance The Dark Tower would Now be better made as a Multi Season Series of 6 hour long or 8 45-50 min episodes, to better grasp the vast detail of the book series and let the story slowly unfold and build the world and Characters up right. Instead they made a Crappy 90min movie that barely touched on the entirety of the story, let alone the best parts. Idris Elba did great with what he had, but it was not the right format.

Perhaps Affleck has more long form ideas and wants to work with Zack.

    I would Watch It

  15. That would be awesome if it were true. I hope it is, Id watch the hell outta HBO Max if they did a Batfleck series ! And you can still have Robert Pattinson do his own thing at the same time. Its a win win !

  16. I demand the first season to be 24 episodes, I WANT BATFLECK NOW!!!
OK, I don't agree with Batman killing, but I'm open to an elseworlds violent Batman version.
