What’s in this video: Motorcycle rider bleeds to life. This is one of the oldest ‘non-uploaded’ vlogs I’ve filmed. It was filmed in 2013 (over 2 years ago) when I had 3000 subscribers. I’m glad its finally going out to a couple hundred thousand subscribers today.   1. In between whole blood donations (every 12 weeks) you can donate plasma & platelets. Takes a little longer (approx 90mins) but well worth it. More donations = more lives helped.

    If you want to be a top class superhero, also join the organ donation registry and bone marrow donation registry.

    That superman tee from snapchat would have completed this video 🙂

  6. This is really nice of you! The Clickbait wasn't necessary tho. There's a difference between hero (helping others) and super hero (helping others, fighting evil, and putting your life in harms way to help those in need)

  12. Good on you. This is just absolutely fantastic. There are people out there who are incapable of donating for example I tried to donate twice when I was a teenager. However, both attempts were unsuccessful. I got a letter of apology from the Red Cross as it was a very traumatic experience. In the letter it basically said please don't try again. They are fantastic people who really care for their clients. I find everyone who is in my situation all would love to donate but they just physically can't. I thank everyone who does donate because you don't know what it means to the recipient of the blood and their family. Again well done, and keep up the great work 😃.

  14. My dad used to always give blood, I wanted to but im genuinely shit scared of needles that bad it makes me want to cry having a blood test even watching this vid was hard 🙁

  16. Thanks for sharing. I've never donated myself and I've never seen a donation in progress. I was nervous watching this cause I just wasn't convinced that those two pieces of tape would keep the vial secure. It's funny when she said don't look cause I myself don't mind needles at all but I crinch at the sight of a needle pricking my skin. Once it's in I'm all fine. And this is more than just an instinctive reaction to pull my arm away. Anyway, I hope to one day find the courage to donate. Stay safe out there mate!

  20. Hey Adrien, I've been watching your videos for a little over a year now and I have to say man, I have so much respect for you. The messages you send out to people, like the one about using a phone while driving, or like this very video show me how good a person you are man. I'm definitely gonna look into donating blood, I turned 18 a few months ago so I only hope I lead as good of an example in this world as you do. Keep up the great work brother.   24. I have been donating with my mom for a year now. She has been trying to get me to go with her for the longest time but with my fear of needles I always dreaded the idea of it. One weekend she was making her appointment I was sitting there thinking why am I so scared of something I haven't done before so I said yes. The whole time I was there I was worried and nervous but the amazing team at the red Cross made it a comforting and trusting first time donating. And now I look forward to making every appointment with my mom and will continue to do so for as long as I can. Thank you for putting a video out like this that shines a light on such a small contribution someone can do that can save lives.

  26. This video gave me the shove I needed to finally go ahead and actually DO this. So I went along and did it around 3 weeks ago.

    Got my donor card in the mail today. Turns out, I'm 'O Negative' which is apparently quite rare. I only wish I had have gone and given blood sooner. Thanks for the shove AJ 😉

  32. My dad used to give blood before we found out that he has a I think it is a rare blood disorder that I and my brother might have but when we found out my dad had it. Was when he was in the hospital receiving blood from someone because he had some bleeding.

  40. AJ my school does two blood drives a year. I try and give blood every time. The last time they came, I couldn't give blood because I was sick. I was so upset. I gave blood just to make up for the day I couldn't.
